Device Recovery
To recover a device, do the following:
Connect your Cerillo device to the computer running this software and launch this software. If your device shows up when the software is loading devices, you do not need to recover the device and can instead use a typical firmware update through the Device Settings firmware update capability. If the device does not appear, continue with this guide.
Open the Device Recovery Dialog from the Help menu through the Device Recovery option.
Choose the port your device is connected through from the dropdown. On Windows, this can be checked by opening the Device Manager application, navigating to the Ports section, unplugging the Cerillo device, noting which COM Port disappeared, reconnecting the device and double checking the COM port name that appeared when reconnecting the Cerillo device.
Choose your device’s model number. The model number can be found on the label on the bottom of the device.
Click recover device
Wait for the firmware update to complete and refresh/load devices to view your recovered device!
Warning
Pushing firmware updates to a port that doesn’t contain a Cerillo device could potentially corrupt whatever is connected to the computer on that port. So ensure that the port selected is indeed the port the Cerillo device is connected to.
