# Canopy - Frequently Asked Questions ## There are missing measurements in my data accessed via canopy, how can I see the full dataset? If your computer loses access to a plate reader live-streaming its data because the computer went to sleep or moved out of range of the device, you may miss certain live-streamed measurements. Since all data is stored on the plate reader, this data can be retrieved by one of two methods: 1. "Right-click" the **refresh** button in the experiment to force refresh the data 2. Close the experiment tab and re-load the experiment to refresh the data ## Can I monitor experiments in real-time? Yes, you can monitor cerillo devices in real-time, and after an experiment has completed you can access the data wirelessly. ## Does the canopy need an internet connection? The canopy forms its own network, so wi-fi, bluetooth and wired connections are unnecessary for the device to work. However, the software associated with the device, cerillo labrador premium, will need an internet connection to access all capabilities. ## Does the canopy need to be connected to a power source or a computer to run? Yes. To operate the canopy, you must connect it to a computer running cerillo labrador premium. Within the software, the canopy can be viewed, used to connect devices wirelessly, and to operate wireless connected devices. ## What cerillo device(s) are compatible with the canopy? The alto and stratus microplate readers are compatible with the canopy. In the future, new products will be released over time and will also be compatible with the device. Stay tuned for updates! ## How do I access my data after an experiment has completed? Following completion of an experiment, your data can be accessed wirelessly using cerillo labrador premium, downloaded from the microSD card, or accessed via a direct connection between a computer and your cerillo device. ## What is this downsample factor showing on experiments accessed via a canopy? See [canopy downsampling](./canopy-downsample.md) for more information on downsampled experiments. ## Where can I use my canopy? The canopy can be used anywhere within 15 meters of cerillo devices. The device even includes a magnetic component for convenient placement across a range of surfaces. Unlike the stratus, the canopy should not be placed in harsh environments like an anaerobic chamber. ## Does the canopy contain any internal controls? How do I control the device and use it with the microplate reader? The canopy does not have any internal controls. The device must be controlled using cerillo labrador premium, the software included with your canopy (a one-year subscription is included with your device). You can monitor and control the stratus wirelessly with the canopy using the software. ## How many cerillo devices can I use with the canopy? You can connect up to five cerillo devices to one computer wirelessly with the canopy. ## How many users can I have connected to my premium labrador account? Your canopy device comes with organization and user management for up to five users.
